A PMO that produces dashboards without triggering decisions consumes energy without reducing risk. Every committee should end with recorded trade-offs.

The transformation office tracks milestones but above all value: each initiative carries a quantified target validated by finance.
An explicit mandate
Without an executive mandate, the PMO has neither the authority to escalate nor the legitimacy to stop an initiative that creates no value.
